Fall Makeup Look and New Series!

With my crazy schedule I haven't taken the time to post any makeup looks. It has definitely been a long time. I pulled out the camera yesterday and thought I would snap a few pictures while I got ready. Halfway through my camera died, so I switched to my phone.

After rushing through this look I started thinking that it would be fun to do a series on several wearable fall looks! I plan to include daytime and evening looks for the Fall Makeup Series! Here are the step by step photos with details below!

There is no set way I apply my makeup. Some days I will apply foundation first and some days I apply it last. It usually depends. Today I waited because some of the shadows cause a good bit of fallout and I don't like all the touchups. So here is what I did today:

1) I grabbed my Urban Decay eye primer  and 2) applied it to my lids.3) Then I grabbed my Urban Decay book of Shadows and patted "Sin" on my lids. 5) Using the UD Electric Palette I opted for the orange shade called "Burnout" and put it along the crease and outer corner. Then added some lighter shimmery orange with "Freelove". 8) Freelove application. 9) I decided to darken the orange with the two purple shades "Flash" and "Tornado". 10) I kept these more on the outer area and crease. 11) I used my Vice Palette and put 12) "Toxic" all over the lid and crease to add shimmer. Then I used "Rewind" 14) to deepen and 15)started to blend. 16) More deepening with "Derailed" 17) more blending 18) Time to clean up the fallout 19) I used my Avon Glimmerstick liner and then (not shown) went over the liner with "Blackout". 20) Foundation time. 21) I buffed the two together 22) Then grabbed my Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer and 23) put it under my eyes. 24) Time to add shadow to the bottom. These were Derailed and Rewind shadows. 25)lashes curled 26) pulled out the UD Perversion (They sent me a trial before it launched and I loved it so much I have a full size that I haven't opened)27) Upper lashes 28) Lower lashes 29) Avon Glimmersticks brow pencil in Blonde. 30) filling in before I grab my favorite 31) Too Faced Brow Envy then 32) Filling in and 33) using the spooly. 34) This picture looks crazy the way the flash showed up, but this is Too Faced Chocolate Solei bronzer 35) applying and then 36) blush from elf. 37) on the apples . I did highlight but that isn't pictured either lol. 38)Time for setting powder. This is a mix of two powders. 39) Elf matte nude lip with 40)Smashbox gloss on top.

Love and hugs!

Quick Makeup Look of the Day : Shimmering Neutrals

Today I decided to add some shimmer to my neutral makeup. I used the NYC quad I received from Influencter in Union Square. I didn't have much time today, but here is a quick and easy neutral look.

NYC Union Square Eyeshadow Palette

Check below for details on how to get the look...

Ok here is a super quick run through of what I did.

1) Apply a base or primer. You can actually use the included base if you use the NYC quad.
2) For shimmer I decided to use the illuminator on my lid and under my lower lash line.
3) Lightly dust the lightest color on entire lid.
4) Apply the third darkest color above crease.
5) Apply the darkest color in corner and crease.
6) Blend with second color.
7) Add your liner and mascara and you're done!

Smokey eye with a pop of color : Tutorial and Review on Wet N Wild Pallet

I haven't done a fun shadow look in a long time, so I thought I would try one out with the Wet N Wild "Blue Had Me at Hello" Pallet. These was one of those super cheap finds that I wanted to try out! These pallets are under $6.00.

The Look : Glam Rock- Blue, Teal, Black

Here's a quick photo guide with the directions below. Don't forget to check out my review!

1-2) I started with a primer. This is from Mary Kay. You can even use a dab of foundation to prime your lids. This helps hold the shadow on.
3-4) Dust the lightest color over lids.
5-6) Take the royal blue shade in picture 6 and pat on lid.
7-8) Take the similar shade of blue in picture 7 and sweep over upper lid and crease area.
9-10) Take the teal shade in picture 9 and do inner corner of upper lid and blend towards outer edges.
11-12) Take the sparkle black in picture 11 and put in crease and outer corner of eye.
13-14) Take light teal shade in picture 13 and blend darker shadows on upper lid and brow bone area. You are also going to take the lightest color and highlight under the brow bone continuing to blend.
15) Take the darker shadow and brush under lashes. Take the teal and line the inner corner of the eye.
16) Using black liner line the upper lid and smudge.
17) Line your waterline. This is the inner part of your bottom lashes.
18) Top off with mascara and you're done!

Review :
I was actually impressed with this Wet N Wild pallet! The pigment in the shadow was great. These were very bold colors that went on very easily. These shadows are easy to wear and last throughout the day. Definitely worth the five or six dollars I spent! There are a couple other 8 pan pallets as pictured above, so there is a shade family perfect for everyone.

Today's Makeup Look and Giveaway Notice!

Happy Friday! What a long week it has been! Today is my oldest son's birthday and we have a few things planned this evening for him. I still can't believe my baby is twelve! It makes me feel old!

For today's makeup look I wanted to keep it simple. I have been playing with neutral tones lately and decided to do another neutral smokey eye. For this look I used my Ulta Good Girl quad, Avon's 24k gold quad, and cover girl's duo liner in Cafe.

For this look I used my Cover Girl duo liner to get the depth in my crease. I dabbed the brown shade in the crease and followed by the black. I used a stiff brush to blend the black into the outer corner letting the edges stay darker.
I used the Avon 24k gold quad for the white shade on my lid and as a highlighter.
my Ulta Good girl quad was used for the upper lid and to darken the crease.
Then I finished by adding the Cover Girl liner and a few coats of Super Shock mascara.

1) Avon white shade
2) Cover Girl black liner
3) Ulta dark browns from Good Girl quad
4) Avon light shade for highlighter on brow bone.

This was a really easy look and didn't take long to achieve. Please let me know if you have any questions!

An Everyday Makeup Look : Island Smoke

This look is an everyday smokey eye look. It can easily be darkened for a dramatic night look with more shadow, thicker liner, and another coat of mascara! I called this Island Smoke.

For this look I actually used two of Avon's eyeshadow quads : Smoke and Mirrors and Island Breeze. I added a thin line of Cover girl eyeliner and two coats of mascara. The shadows are pictured below.

I hope everyone is having a fantastic Tuesday!

Just Peachy: Today's Makeup Look

I did it again! I decided to go for lighter colors! This is a look I did for an everyday look. As I mentioned before a good bit of my looks would not be day to day looks. I called this "Just Peachy". Product detail is listed below!

To get this look I used Mimosa orange shadow from Ulta on my lid.

For my crease I used my Good Girl eyeshadow quad from Ulta. I used all four colors for this. The crease has the two darkest browns at the edge and I blended with the medium color. I used the lightest for blending.

To finish I added a black pencil liner and two coats of Super Shock mascara.

Makeup Looks : Cougar and Animalistic

I mentioned in my Looks with Leopard post that I was inspired to do two different makeup looks. I told you the cougar story yesterday, so we won't go there again! I was going to call the first "leopard"(seems like a good fit), but it somehow managed to switch to "cougar". Here are the two looks Cougar and Animalistic.

Makeup Look : Burgundy Blues

Here is the makeup look of the day. These were a few more colors that I don't normally experiment with, so I thought I'd try something out. I called this Burgundy Blues.

I have been getting a lot of questions about my makeup looks, fashion/style, preferences, etc. I decided that I would do a Q & A based off a few things my readers have asked. This will be in video form, so stay tuned for that post. If you have any other questions you want to ask please feel free to do so in the comment section or by email at flairbybrandi@gmail.com.

Makeup Look : Spicy

I think I only used my Avon Vibrant Spice Quad once, and I'm pretty sure it was only for one color. Here is a quick look I created with my quad. This one is called Spicy.

This was really easy and the only shadow I used was from the Avon Quad pictured below.

To finish it off I added a thin line of black liner and super shock mascara.

Today's Makeup Look : Illusion

I really love this teal color and decided to play around with it and a few purples today. Below the picture of the look I have posted the products I used. I called this look Illusion.

The teal shade on my lid is from the Avon eyeshadow quad in "Aquadelic". I also used the white in this quad for my brow bone to highlight. It is a shimmery white shade.
The purple shades are from the Wet N Wild "Petal Pusher" pallet. I picked this up on one of my grocery trips and it was under $5.00! I used shades 2, 3, and 4.

I also mixed a bit of this royal blue in with shade 3 on the Petal pusher pallet to add definition to the outer corners. This is a quad from Cover Girl in "Tropical Fusion".

To finish off I added liquid eyeliner and mascara from Avon.

I hope everyone is having a great Thursday!
