Traditionally, stain cannot be put over paint .. however, your den floor looks beautiful and it looks like that's exactly what you did. Am I reading that correctly? You put Valspar stain over the Valspar concrete paint? It mimics acid staining on bare concrete .. beautifully! Would you mind letting me know how your floors held up. Not too worried about that as I intend to lay some coordinating area rugs after painting and staining our basement floor. Nonetheless, would be curious to know. Thanks for your help .. very much appreciated! It made our floor very slippery and we are now trying to find out what can be used over it as it’s waterbased. Our basement is 1500 sq ft so this was ALOT of work. consrvtvegirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09190244214479704208noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3998202922949441630.post-79023899374464065552020-01-01T06:12:41.611-05:002020-01-01T06:12:41.611-05:00I know it has been many years since this den floor...I know it has been many years since this den floor was done. Abou...Thanks for your video - enjoyed your family. About a year ago I had seen another post from someone doing this floor. I couldn't get out the door fast enought to get to Lowes for supplies. It was a Thurs and I started tearing up our old vinyl in our small master bath. My husband (a contractor) moaned & worried it would be another messy project left half done. I proved him wrong! YEA! The ONLY problem I had was the horrible smell that took days to go away. Now I've found at Lowes an UNSCENTED, FAST DRYING poly to use, so I'm starting today to do the floor in our family room (created from 2 car garage by previous owners more than 9 years ago). The previous owner had painted large "tiles" on the floor ... not bad, but navy blue. The important idea I got from your post was using a rag mop instead of a roller. It's always bothered me to see the lines created by the roller even though it was scattered. Wish me luck - I hope to complete the project (alone) in 2-3 days while my husband is out of town. I'm going to try to paint just over the "tiles" to see how that looks. If it stinks or I mess up too much staying in the lines she created ... the whole floor will be done without tile look. BIG hassle that may slow me down is moving big furniture - recovering from broken arm and cut a knuckle 2 days ago. I won't be able to move the big TV so will just have to do that part after the fact when my husband can move it all for me. Guess I better get off the time eater here and get started. ;-) Thanks for the good tip.Susan Dnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3998202922949441630.post-23953814312570957862015-03-21T12:13:44.755-04:002015-03-21T12:13:44.755-04:00Can u clean a canvas Micheal Kors purse this way?Can u clean a canvas Micheal Kors purse this way?mitzihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03375540369255997452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3998202922949441630.post-37322669773626920982015-01-30T10:37:21.367-05:002015-01-30T10:37:21.367-05:00What kind of stain did you use?
