A good cleanser is key! Over the years I have tried several different products and had different results with each. I've tried everything from high end expensive brands to simple drug store purchases. What works for me might not work for you. Knowing your skin type and what skincare issues you want to treat and prevent will help you find your perfect cleanser!
I wash my face twice a day no matter what! I start my day with a clean face. At night I make sure to remove my makeup and wash away any dirt, oil, etc. before I go to sleep.
Exfoliators are also a great cleanser in addition to your regular routine! I use my exfoliating scrub three times a week.
I have heard that if you have a great cleanser you don't need a toner. I disagree. A toner further cleanses and exfoliates your face of any impurities. This is your second step in cleansing.
When I was younger I didn't think a moisturizer was important, but it is! I am prone to oily skin on my T-zone and didn't think I should put any kind of lotion or cream on that. They key to that is finding a moisturizer that works with your skin! There are tons of moisturizers that target your key problems. These cover everything from oily skin, acne, blackheads, wrinkles, age spots, etc! Don't skip on the moisturizer!!! This is such an important step in young and healthy looking skin!
Spot Treatments (Acne, Wrinkles, Dark Circles, etc.)
These might not be necessary for everyone, but I am a fan! If I feel a breakout coming I will pull out my spot treatment and let it work it's magic!
There are also treatments for dark circles, wrinkles, age spots, and everything else you can think of!
These are a great way to unclog pores. The masks will pull dirt and oil from your skin and help wash away any impurities. I love relaxing in the tub with my mask and cucumber for my eyes.
