Pretty In Pastels: Trending

Pastels are everywhere this season! From the runway to the mall they are a hit! Here are a few pieces to add to your collection!

I love these bags! On the left is a color block bag from Asos and on the right is a beautiful lavender shade from Kate Spade.

Check out these great polish colors from Essie. These are about $7.00 and can be picked up most places nail polish is sold.

These shoes by Boutique 9 are also following the color block trend!

You know I can't leave out some fun eyeshadows!
This is a duo from Rimmel London. Rimmel is VERY affordable! These are usually under $5.00.
Add a pop of yellow with these cute shorts from J Crew! These also come in a variety of colors!
This green pleated chiffon tank comes from Old Navy and is under $20.00! It comes in this green and a light orange.
Jumpsuits are another popular trend right now. This is a halter jumpsuit from Ralph Lauren.
And last, but not least today is this pastel color block pleated dress from Oasis. How cute is this?
Happy Thursday everyone!!

Refashion A Mans Shirt

I've seen a few things about refashioning old to new. Here is my version! I took a mans dress shirt and transformed it to a cute dress! I hate to sew, so there is no needle and thread involved! I used fabric glue and double sided iron tape. Super easy!!

Here is the shirt!

I took a pattern I liked and cut it out.

Then I put the pattern across the shirt right under the collar.

I traced the pattern onto the shirt and cut it out with scissors.

Then I added lace. I put the lace on with washable fabric glue so it would be permanent and would dry clear. I was going to leave the sleeves, but at the last minute I cut from the edge of the seam up to the collar. I cut the entire section of the top half of the shirt and left the collar then used double sided iron tape to fold down and hem the edges. This made it into a halter. (Again last minute! I didn't have time to take pictures of those steps!)

And here is my halter dress made from a mans dress shirt!
